Toronto artist Clairmont The Second is one of the most underrated Canadian rappers. The independent artist ignited the stage at the 2018 JUNO Awards Gala dinner last March. Recognition has since grown for his 2017 project, Lil Mont from The Ave, following his nomination for Rap Recording of the Year.
With the recent release of his new music video “Grips,” it seems as though 2018 was just the warm-up. While he readies his upcoming project, “Do You Drive?” the self-directed video hints at his strong lyrical growth over these past months. The video integrates retro silhouette’s and introspective angles. Clairmont brings his signature charismatic bars to this latest video.
